The Salinas High Music Association (SHMA), also known as Music Boosters, is a non-profit volunteer organization supporting the students, directors and families of the Salinas High School Music Program.  We believe in the importance and value of music for the SHS students and the personal growth and leadership benefits they learn for life.

The mission of the Salinas High Music Association is to raises funds to provide stewardship and strength to the Salinas High School Music Program by promoting music education and showcase performances to our school families and local community.  The money raised benefits instrumental and vocal music students along with ColorGuard by helping fund scholarships and trips; defraying accompanist and music coach salaries; purchasing equipment, supplies and uniforms; and purchasing and repairing instruments.

All parents or guardians of SHS Music Program students are members of the SHMA by their student’s participation in the music program.   Find out more about our SHS Music Program at the SHMA Board Meetings held the second Monday of each month.

The SHS Music Program includes the Jazz Band; Marching Band; ColorGuard; Concert Band; Strings; Vocal Choir including A Capella, Bel Canto, Chorale, Vocal Jazz and Barbershop Quartet.
