Student Lot Update
As you may be aware, we have started a major construction project that will result in a new classroom building and main entrance to our school. Construction will take place over the next 12 to 14 months and we will have to adjust some of our normal operations throughout different phases of the work. The first of those adjustments is a change to student drop-off and pick-up which will no longer be available at the student parking lot.
In collaboration with the Salinas Police Department, CalTrans, and the City of Salinas, alternate drop-off routes are being finalized. These alternative routes will be communicated out as soon as possible. Additionally, during the first week of school, Campus Safety Officers and Administration will help direct traffic and guide you to the new drop-off locations.
We understand this change may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these changes related to the construction of our new two-story building. For more details on the project, please visit bit.ly/shsconstruction-post
Thank you for your understanding. Again, we will provide specific alternate drop-off locations as soon as they are available.
If you have questions, comments, or ideas for solutions, we invite you to join us for our Parent Meeting on Wednesday, July 31, at 6:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center.

The student parking lot has been temporarily reconfigured. Students and buses will enter from the Lincoln and Avenue A intersection and it is now accessible only as a one-way street.
As Avenue B is now one-way, traffic will no longer be able to turn left into Avenue B from South Main St. Due to ongoing construction in the student parking lot, the area will no longer be available for parent drop-offs from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
