Digital AP Exams
Starting in May 2025, standard paper testing will be discontinued for 28 AP Exams—these exams will move to the Bluebook digital testing application. 16 exams will be fully digital and 12 will be hybrid digital.
|
|
Fully Digital- Students complete multiple-choice and free-response questions in Bluebook, with all responses automatically submitted at the end of the exam.
Hybrid Digital- Students complete multiple-choice questions and view free-response questions in Bluebook. They handwrite their free-response answers in paper exam booklets that are returned for scoring.
Unchanged- AP Exam administration for exams with audio components and exams consisting solely of portfolio assessments is remaining unchanged for the May 2025 AP Exam administration
Where are students testing? All 2025 AP tests will be administered on campus at Salinas High School. SUHSD has required all sites to test utilizing district devices and wireless access in order to provide seamless IT support during each test. Exact locations will be communicated on a class by class basis in the coming weeks |

Attendance
Students are expected to attend school as usual on all testing days. Per Ed Code, attendance is required on any school day while students are on campus.
As with any school day, a parent or guardian may sign their student out through the Attendance Office if needed.
Please refer to the districtwide Catapult message sent on Sunday March 30th for additional details regarding how to clear absences.
Dear SHS Parents and Guardians, This memo provides important information regarding student attendance procedures at Salinas High School. Your cooperation in following these guidelines is greatly appreciated and helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all our students. Reporting Absences: For all-day absences, including those due to illness, appointments (dental or medical), or other reasons, please email the attendance office in advance at SHSATTENDANCE@SALINASUHSD.ORG. Student Pick-Up: When you need to pick up your child from school during the school day, you will be required to present a valid photo identification card for verification purposes. This is a necessary safety measure to ensure we are releasing students to authorized individuals. Parking Considerations: Please be aware that parking on and around the school campus can be challenging, especially during peak hours. We encourage you to plan ahead and allow ample time to find parking when coming to pick up your child. Additionally, please allow sufficient time for your child to be called out of class and meet you. Your understanding and adherence to these procedures are crucial for maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring a smooth and safe environment for our students. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, The Salinas High School Administration |
