What is Cowboy Way (PBIS) ?Tier list

The Cowboy Way is a school-wide program based on the district-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. PBIS is implemented district-wide as an approach to support students. PBIS is rooted in the behavioral or behavior analytic perspective, it's assumed that behavior is learned, is related to immediate, and social environmental factors, and can be changed. With clear expectations in place, known as Safe, Honorable, and Sensible.

The Cowboy Way provides students with academic tutorials, mentoring, behavior support, and SEL interventions. Our acknowledgment system includes administration, teachers, and staff who give out Cowboy cards to deserving students exemplifying #SHS, following the Cowboy Way team holds weekly raffles and selects students of the week. These positive rewards encourage students to practice and internalize the behaviors we teach.
